The foxtail fern, scientifically known as Thunbergia mysorensis, is a striking vine native to the Western Ghats region of India. It belongs to the Acanthaceae family and is commonly referred to as the Indian clock vine or Mysore trumpetvine.
Appearance: foxtail fern is renowned for its pendulous clusters of uniquely shaped flowers, which resemble vivid, yellow and maroon bird beaks or parrot-like blooms. These flowers hang gracefully from the vine, creating a spectacular display during the blooming season. The plant's glossy, dark green foliage provides an excellent backdrop to highlight its vibrant flowers.
